Tomorrow at 07:50 the PRO field start at IM 70.3 Marbella. It will be the first race of the season, which historically never have been good. It is difficult to be in great race shape that early, especially if living and training in cold North Europe, and racing in warmer weather. This time, however, I feel better prepared for my first race than ever. And I am looking more forward to this race then I maybe ever have done. I am just going out to enjoy it. Hopefully, I feel good and can push myself hard, and that is what I am going to do if I get the chance 🙂
The PRO men field is huge with 60 participants, including superb athletes like David McNamee (3. Hawaii 2017), Boris Stein and Andreas Draitz. That must leave me, someone, to swim with and push hard together on the bike. At least that is what I wish for 😉
